Luis Suárez gets green light to return after injury
Luis Suárez is ready to return. 147 days after having surgery the Uruguayan striker has received the all clear from the Club's medical services and is available for selection as Barça get ready for the return to action on 13 June at 10pm CEST away at Mallorca.
The goalscorer had arthroscopic surgery on 12 January of this year for a problem in his right knee. His last appearance for Barça was against Atlético Madrid in the semi finals of the Spanish Super Cup at the beginning of January.
After more than four months out due to injury the Uruguayan is now ready to return for the final part of the season. Suárez returned to training at the beginning of May and his return is good news for coach Quique Setién as it means he will have the striker available for the delayed final phase of the campaign with silverware at stake.
14 goals in 23 games
As such Suárez will be able to add to the 14 goals in the 23 games that he has played so far this season. The striker has netted 11 times in the league and three in the Champions League so far. Despite missing the last eight league games for Barça, the Uruguayan is third on the list of assist providers in La Liga with seven.
