New dates for Euroleague
In a meeting between all participating clubs, the Euroleague agreed on Thursday, April 23, on different measures for the resumption of the competition, provided the relevant authorities permit it. The six remaining Regular Season games would be played, followed by an eight-team knockout to decide the winners of the competition.
Decision on May 24
All clubs agreed that the final decision on the cancellation or resumption of the season would be taken on May 24. Should the competition return, a quarantine period would be set for May 29-June 11.
Training would resume on June 12 until July 2.
New format
It has been agreed that from July 4-26, pending Regular Season games (a total of six) would be played at a venue to be determined. There would be no 5-game Playoff series. Instead, a Final Eight (F8) format would be established with the eight highest finishing teams.
