A connection that's getting better
Messi, Griezmann and Suarez. An attacking trio that is becoming more successful with each passing game. The three Barça players all scored against Alavés (4-1), repeating what they have already done four times: against Eibar (0-3), Borussia Dortmund (3-1) and Mallorca (5-2).
More goals than 90% of teams in the league
In total, Messi, Griezmann and Suárez already have 30 goals in the league after 18 games played. The Argentine, who missed the first four games of the domestic championship due to injury and didn't score his first goal until match day eight against Sevilla, now has 13 in his 13 games. Suárez isn't far behind with 10 in 16 games, while Griezmann has 7 in 17 games.
Between the three of them, they've scored more goals than all the other teams in LaLiga except Madrid (33) and Villarreal (31).
Assists as well as goals
Not only do they score goals, but they also assist for many of them. Griezmann has four, but Messi and Suárez, with six, lead the individual standings.
In addition, the trio have assisted each other on 13 of those 16 occasions. Griezmann has twice assisted Messi and once for Suárez; Messi has combined once with Griezmann and four times with Suárez, whilst the Uruguayan has given two assists to the Frenchman and three to the Argentinian.
In the match against Alavés at Camp Nou, Suarez assisted Griezmann for the first goal and Messi for the third, before scoring the fourth from the penalty spot. The objective for 2020 then is to continue to feed each other and nurture the relationship between the three Barça strikers.
