Advice for fans coming to Camp Nou for the Clásico
The Board of Directors would like to appeal to the fans for them to come to the game at Camp Nou on Wednesday to support the team. The game between Barça v Real Madrid is a festival of football and yet it is without doubt compatible with a civil and peaceful demonstration of opinion give the exceptional circumstances faced in Catalonia in recent times.
Camp Nou is a space for free expression where all opinions are welcome, as long as they expressed respectfully.
In terms of security, the Club has been working in conjunction with the Catalan Police Force (Mossos d'Esquadra) who have made guarantees about security for the game. As such, the Club is following their recommendations and those of the club's own security, the Barcelona Police Force (Guàrdia Urbana) and the Emergency Medical Services.
The following are a list of recommendations for those coming to enjoy Barça-Real Madrid at Camp Nou:
- The use of public transport is recommended as is arriving early at the stadium.
- The gates at Camp Nou will be opened at 6.30pm CET, 90 minutes before kick off as is usual.
- Large bags or suitcases will not be allowed into the ground and all other bags will be searched as exhaustive security measures will be carried out at entry points to the ground.
