Barça 103–71 Iberostar Tenerife: Festival of points for much needed win
Barça have recorded another victory in the Palau Blaugrana with an excellent performance against Iberostar Tenerife. It was a complete team performance from Svetislav Pesic's team as they share the lead in the league table with a 9-2 record. The game was decided in a brilliant third quarter from the blaugranes with Pustovyi, Oriola, Tomic and Kuric in particular outstanding.
It was an important game for Barça after Friday's reverse against CSKA Moscow but it began with the visitors on top. However, a run of 14 points to two allowed the blaugranes to take the lead at 19-9 and then 26-19 at the end of the first quarter.
In his 400th game in the Endesa League, Ante Tomic opened the scoring in the second period. Delaney also showed his worth in the run up to half with Barça 47-39 up at the break.
In the second half Mirotic and Delaney led the team and in the final quarter Pesic's asserted their authority to close out a 103-71 victory. Barça's next challenge comes in a return to Euroleague action when they take on Khmiki Moscow on Friday in Russia.
