Agreement with Everton for transfer of André Gomes
FC Barcelona and Everton F.C. have come to an agreement for the transfer of the Portuguese footballer André Gomes. The amount agreed to for the transfer is €25m plus add-ons.
FC Barcelona would like to publicly thank André Gomes for his dedication and commitment, and wishes him the best of luck and success in the future.
Thus, after having been sent on loan to Everton last season, the midfielder comes to the end of his time as a Barça player.
78 appearances with Barça, four titles
André Gomes signed with FC Barcelona on 21 July 2016 following two seasons at Valencia. He debuted on 14 August 2016 in FC Barcelona’s 2-0 victory at Sevilla in the first leg of the Spanish Super Cup, which would become his first title with the club.
During his time at Barça, in the 2016-17 and 2017-18 seasons, Gomes played various positions in the midfield, and even played fullback in the Copa del Rey final against Alavés, which became his second title with Barça. In total, he played 78 games and scored three goals, one coming against Valencia, his former team, and the other two coming against Osasuna. In addition, André Gomes won a total of four titles in the two seasons he played with FC Barcelona: one La Liga title, two Copa del Rey titles, and one Spanish Super Cup. In the 2018-19 season, André Gomes played on loan at Everton in the English Premier League.
