The five Blaugranes, in the quarterfinals of the Copa América
There'll be no confrontation between the Blaugranes in the quarterfinals of the Copa América, but Messi, Suárez, Arturo Vidal, Arthur and Coutinho will look for a win which will take them into the semifinals of the tournament.
Arthur and Coutinho
Brazil qualified top of Group A with two wins and a draw. Coutinho played a total of 257 minutes during which he scored two goals. For his part, Arthur played two whole matches. Now, the pair will face Paraguay (Friday 28 at 2.30am CEST, 9.30pm local) at Arena do Grêmio, a stadium and pitch well known to Arthur due to his past with the club from Porto Alegre.
Messi
La Albiceleste, led by Leo Messi, qualified for the quarterfinals after a win against Qatar in the final group match. The No.10 has played every minute of this Copa América so far and, after finishing second in Group B with four points, he and his Argentinian team-mates will play against Venezuela on Friday at 9.00pm CEST (4.00pm local). The Fonte Nova Arena will host what will be the first of the four quarterfinals.
Suárez
Uruguay qualified top of Group C after defeating Arturo Vidal's Chile. Luis Suárez and his team ended the group stage with two wins and a draw. The Blaugrana striker worked tirelessly during his 270 minutes, and scored two goals. Peru are next up at the Pernambuco Arena (June 29 at 9:00pm CEST, 4.00pm local).
Arturo Vidal
Chile finished second in group C with Arturo Vidal totalling 168 minutes in the group stage. The Corinthians Arena will host the last quarterfinal against Colombia, the only team to have won all of their games so far (Saturday June 29 at 01.00am CEST, 8.00pm local).
