Rafinha receives medical all-clear
FC Barcelona's first team player, Rafinha, received medical clearance on Tuesday, the Club said. Thus, after about seven months out, the Brazilian has recovered from the left anterior cruciate ligament tear he suffered last November in Barça's Week 13 La Liga match against Atlético Madrid at the Wanda Metropolitano.
That day, Rafinha came on as a substitute in the second half and finished the match. Before that game, the Barça number 12 had played in three matches — against Inter Milan in the UEFA Champions League, and versus Real Madrid and Rayo Vallecano in La Liga — in which he was pencilled in to the starting XI due to an injury to Leo Messi.
In total, Rafinha made eight appearances in the 2018/19 season: five in La Liga, two in the Champions League, and the Spanish Super Cup final.
