SCC Mohammédia 2-2 Barça Legends: Draw in Morocco
Barça Legends drew their third game of the season. Chapi Ferrer's side played out a 2-2 draw in Morocco against Sporting Club Chebab de Mohammedia. Edmílson, in the first half, and Salinas, in the second, scored the goals for the Blaugrana in a game that served to honuor Ahmed Faras, a legend of Moroccan football.
The first African Golden Boot winner left the field after 28 minutes, in the midst of a great ovation from the Stade Bachir Mohammedia. Barça also wanted to participate in the tribute and, through Pau Vilanova, delivered a gift.
But the best tribute of all is football of course, and Barça didn't want to lose. From the start, quality play was in evidence, but it took until the 15th minute for Edmílson to open the scoring with a powerful finish from outside the area. Tariq Chihab equalised from the spot (1-1, min 58), before Cafu Jr, after great chest control, put the hosts in control (1-2, min 77). Salinas had the final say, controlling the ball with his right foot before firing home with his left with 10 minutes to go.
