Training with title in touching distance

Ernesto Valverde returned to the training ground on Wednesday the day after beating Deportivo Alavés a 2-0 at Mendizorroza to move even closer to the Liga title.

In fact, had Atlético failed to beat Valencia this evening the title would have been won already, but a dramatic game ended 3-2 and Barça still need one more win to confirm their eighth championship in just eleven years.

Today’s post-game recovery session also featured Iñaki Peña, Wague, Collado and Riqui Puig of Barça B.

The team has a day off on Thursday and will be back at work on Friday at 6.00pm CET; the final workout before entertaining Levante at Camp Nou on Saturday at 8.45pm CET.
