The squad for Manchester United
The Champions League returns this Tuesday with a place in the semi-finals at stake, and Ernesto Valverde has called up 18 players for the second leg of the quarter-final.
They are: Ter Stegen, N. Semedo, Piqué, I. Rakitic, Sergio, Coutinho, Arthur, Suárez, Messi, O. Dembélé, Cillessen, Malcom, Lenglet, Jordi Alba, S. Roberto, Vidal, Umtiti and Aleñá.
Rafinha and Vermaelen are injured, while Todibo, Murillo and Boateng are left out via technical decision. Further, Carles Aleñá will continue to wear the No.26 until the end of the competition.
Rakitic and S. Roberto fit to play
On Monday, the team trained for the last time before the game against Manchester United. Rakitic and S. Roberto trained with the group of available first team players, with Iñaki Peña and Wague of Barça B making up the numbers for the session on the Tito Vilanova pitch of the Ciutat Esportiva Joan Gamper. At the end of training, Rakitic and S. Roberto were declared fit to play and entered the squad.
