15 FC Barcelona finals in 5 years
FC Barcelona have been playing finals non-stop for the last five years. Since May 2009 the team has appeared in 14, while will become 15 in April on occasion of the Spanish Cup Final against Real Madrid. No other major European club can boast anything to compare with such an outstanding achievement.
86% won
Barça have won 12 of those 14 finals, a rate of 86% that once again, no team in Europe’s top five competitions can match. The nearest challenge comes from Porto, with 9 out of 12 (75%), and Atlético Madrid, with five out of seven (71%).
Far behind come giant clubs like Manchester United, Inter (63%), Real Madrid (60%), Bayern Munich (58%), Chelsea (55%) and Borussia Dortmund (50%), all of whom have failed to win a higher percentage of finals than FC Barcelona.
Since 2009, FC Barcelona have won two Champions Leagues (2009 and 2011), two Clubs World Cups (2009 and 2011), two European Supercups (2009 and 2011), two Spanish Cups (2009 and 2012) and four Spanish Supercups (2009, 2010, 2011 and 2013). They only lost the finals of the Spanish Cup in 2011 and the Spanish Supercup in 2012.
