Neymar Jr: "I'm here to help FC Barcelona"
Neymar Jr once again had his talent on display at the Camp Nou. The Brazilian was one of the standout players in the game against Celta that ended in a 3-0 for FC Barcelona. The forward scored two goals, which helped Barça climb past Real Madrid in the standings and keep pace with league leaders Atlético Madrid.
After getting off to a flying start at the beginning of the season, the Brazilian picked up an inopportune injury that left him on the sidelines for weeks. Immediately after his return to the first team, on 15 February, he scored in Barça’s 6-0 victory over Rayo Vallecano. Since then Neymar Jr’s performances have gradually improved, and now it seems he’s back to full form.
“I don’t care about the criticisms”
After the match against Celta, Neymar Jr said, “I’m happy that I scored, and I’m especially calm. It doesn’t matter if I’m criticized or praised. In football one day you’re the best player and the next you’re the worst.”
The Brazilian also revealed how he deals with with criticism from the press. “Players need to have a clear head, they need to be focused and that’s what I’m doing. The only thing I want to do is help my team,” he said.
