Munir only suffers bruising and joins under-21s
Tests carried out on Monday morning confirmed that Munir El Haddadi had only suffered bruising on his right calf in the game against Villarreal, and no actual muscle damage .Munir was taken off after an hour on Sunday, but has been given the all clear to join up with the Spanish Under 21 squad for the games against Hungary and Austria alongside team mate Sergi Roberto.
As well as Munir El Haddadi and Sergi Roberto, Luis Enrique will be without 10 other players during the international break: Sergio Busquets, Pedro Rodríguez, Marc Bartra and Jordi Alba (Spain); Neymar Jr (Brazil); Javier Mascherano (Argentina); Claudio Bravo (Chile); Ivan Rakitic (Croatia); Rafinha (Brazil under-21) and Jérémy Mathieu (France), who was a late call up following the withdrawal of Arsenal’s Koscielny.
However, Leo Messi will stay in Barcelona as a precaution after noting a twinge in his right hamstring and will miss Argentina’s friendly against Germany.
