FC Barcelona reach fifth final in seven seasons
Team punch ticket to last round of Spanish Cup after knocking out Villarreal 6-2 on aggregate
FC Barcelona have qualified for the final of the Spanish Cup after beating Villarreal in the semi-finals 6-2 on aggregate, sending the Club to its fifth final in seven seasons where they'll seek to win their 27th Cup in team history against Athletic Club Bilbao.
Two titles in four years
The streak began the 2008/09 season when the players lifted the Cup after defeating Athletic Club by a score of 4-1 at the Mestalla. Two years later in 2010/11 they lost the final in overtime against Real Madrid.
The following season the team led by Pep Guardiola reclaimed the title after defeating Athletic Bilbao at the Vicente Calderon (3-0). The last final Barca played in was last year, when they fell 2–1 to Real Madrid at the Mestalla.
