U19A 3-0 Hertha BSC: Barça into the quarterfinals
FC Barcelona's U19A team are now into the UEFA Youth League quarter-finals, and will play against Lyon in the next round. Denis Silva's side defeated Hertha BSC in the Miniestadi, with a goal from Ilaix and a double from Alejandro Marqués (3-0).
Although it was still 0-0 at the break, it was a match that Barça dominated at all times. Ansu was the first to try his luck with a shot after only four minutes, and that served as a warning of what was to come.
Ilaix breaks the deadlock
A Marqués header, a powerful shot by Guillem, an opportunity from Mingueza and another chance from Ilaix all came and went, and it was after half-time when the latter tucked home (1-0, min 48) to give the hosts some breathing space. Barça continued to attack and a double from Marqués ended the tie as a contest (2-0, min 80, 3-0, min 83).
Lyon, who beat Ajax on penalties, will be Barça's next rival on 2/3 of April. The game will be played at the Miniestadi with a place in the semi-finals up for grabs.
