Historic run comes to an end
A 0-0 draw at San Mamés against Athletic Club meant that a 37-game streak came to an end for FC Barcelona. Ernesto Valverde's side did not manage to score against the Basque side, marking the first occasion all season in which they have not found the net in the league.
Barça's run is the third best of all time in LaLiga, stretching back to their last 0-0 draw against Getafe at the Camp Nou on February 11th 2018. In their next game, Luis Suárez and Jordi Alba scored in a 0-2 triumph against Eibar on Matchday 24 of last season.
During the 37 games, they racked up a total of 99 goals -60 at the Camp Nou and 39 away from home. The top marksman was Lionel Messi with 35 goals, followed by Luis Suárez (24), Philippe Coutinho (12) and Ousmane Dembélé (11).
