The most successful goalkeeper that the Barça women's team has ever had is leaving with full honours. This Saturday, Sandra Paños spoke to the press about her departure after dedicating her entire career to the club.
Following an emotional video of her time at Barça, she then took to the microphone.
When Paños joined the club in 2015, "I was ready to swallow the world, at the best team in Spain and with the potential to become the best in the world."
"I gave everything to this club. I am leaving in peace, and proud of being one of the captains of this team. It has been an amazing journey."
"I wanted to be the kind of role model that girls didn't have. The legacy we have left is that future generations will be more motivated. We have broken down barriers and raised our voice."
"From now, my future is decided. I'll let people know in a few days' time. But one day I may well be back at this club again in some kind of capacity."
