11 blaugranes for Euro 2024

For the first time in history Barça have more than 10 players involved in the tournament

Eleven blaugranes in six different national teams will fight to become European Champions in 2024. The tournament which takes place in Germany and begins on Friday 14 June with the final to come on 14 July. This year's edition is a special one as Barça have set another record: 11 players from the Club will be involved in the tournament, surpassing the 10 who took part in the delayed Euro 2020 championships in 2021. 

Pedri, Lamine Yamal, Fermín, Ferran, Cancelo, João Félix, Ter Stegen, Gündogan, Kounde, Lewandowski and Christensen are the FC Barcelona players who will be representing their respective nations in Germany. 

Four culers in the Spain squad

Pedri, Lamine Yamal, Fermín and Ferran are in Luis de la Fuente's final squad for the 2024 European Championships. Pedri and Ferran are experience internationals now after taking part in Euro2020 and the World Cup in Qatar in 2022, but it will be a first tournament for Fermín López and Lamine Yamal. 

If Lamine does get on the field, he will become the youngest player ever to take part in tournament, setting yet another record in his brief but already highly successful career.

Hosts with Ter Stegen and Gündogan

Germany are the hosts for the 2024 edition and in their squad are Barça midfielder Ilkay Gündoğan and goalkeeper Marc ter Stegen. The German national side open the tournament on Friday with a game against Scotland. 

Cancelo and João Félix with Portugal

2016 Champions Portugal boast a strong squad under Catalan coach Roberto Martínez which contains blaugranes João Cancelo and João Félix who will both be appearing in the competition for the second time. 

France, Denmark and Poland

The list of blaugranes is completed by Jules Kounde, Andreas Christensen and Robert Lewandowski who will be representing France, Denmark and Poland respectively. The Frenchman and the Dane will be played in their second European Championships; Robert Lewandowski in contrast, will be playing in his fourth edition of the tournament. One name who will finally miss out is that of Frenkie de Jong with the Dutchman still recovering from an ankle injury. The Barça midfielder has left the Netherlands squad and will not feature in Euro2024 for Ronald Koeman's squad.
