FC Barcelona and Barcelona Global sign collaborative agreement to help promote city internationally

The Club and the Association will work together on projects to strengthen Barcelona's place as a city for attracting and creating talent and investment

FC Barcelona and Barcelona Global have signed an agreement for the next three seasons to identify, study and analyse the possibility of working together on projects to strengthen Barcelona's place as a city for attracting and creating talent and investment, and at the same time furthering the Club's strategic projects.

The agreement was made official in a meeting at the FC Barcelona president's office attended by Joan Laporta, the FC Barcelona institutional vice president Elena Fort; president of Barcelona Global, Ramon Agenjo and the director general of Barcelona Global, Mercà Conesa. After the signature of the agreement, the Club president presented his Barcelona Global counterpart with a 2024/25 Barça jersey.

Via this agreement FC Barcelona, working together with Barcelona Global, will be able to identify and participate in projects or work areas, focusing on synergies, within a yearly work plan, promotion initiatives and activities in line with the Club's strategic projects.

FC Barcelona will became a full member of the Supervisory Council, a governing body of Barcelona Global formed by 70 businesses and directors, and will attend the Members' General Assembly where projects are presented which have been worked on for the city of Barcelona and where future objectives are approved.

As such, the collaboration will highlight the Club's contribution, from the private sector, to strengthen the city's position on the competitive global stage, whilst also allowing the Barça brand to be present all over the world and to explain its activities to all the Barcelona Global associates.

Statement from Joan Laporta, FC Barcelona president

"The collaborative agreement with Barcelona Global highlights the role of FC Barcelona in contributing to Barcelona's positioning. This is also an opportunity to work together on strategic projects and capture possible business openings that help the city and also have a positive impact on the Club, at the same time working hard for the Barça brand to be present all over the world."

Statement from Ramon Agenjo, Barcelona Global president

“This agreement allows the Association to strengthen our links with FC Barcelona and join forces to continue to lead the way in converting Barcelona into a global model city for talent that impacts positively on the sustainable and inclusive growth of the city, and to attract investment and key objectives on Barcelona Global's agenda."
