On March 2023, FC Barcelona began updating its census of members, a regulatory measure according to the club statutes in its article 11.8. The idea is to be able to identify all members and thus improve security, communication and services. Members all require a digital profile in order to modernise the way the club is run and to reorganise seating in the new Spotify Camp Nou. It also means that members will get to enjoy a whole range of new services once the new stadium is ready.
The update process ends on 31 October 2023. Any members that still haven't updated their details by that date will not be able to renew their membership for 2024. This will imply loss of season ticket holder status at Spotify Camp Nou or of any position in the waiting list, meaning members will not be able to buy a new season ticket and will need to start the application process all over again once they have provided the required information.
