FC Barcelona coach Xavi Hernández was far from happy with the 4-2 defeat against Girona in La Liga. "We were the better side and we were brilliant for an hour. At half time I was really happy. A lack of finishing has killed us, the story of the season," said the blaugrana boss in his post game press conference.
"We made some flagrant errors. We gifted the game. We have to improve, above all mentally, because every time we find it hard to pick ourselves up," he added. "It's a tough blow, but there are still games left - I feel the badge and I am very annoyed," continued Xavi.
"We have to improve a lot," said the coach at various points in his media appearance in which he also paid tribute to Girona's excellent season and congratulated Real Madrid for winning the league title. Thinking of the future he rounded off: "We can improve for next season."
